Woluweveld en Vuilbeek/Kleine Maalbeek: update

28 November, 2016

In Kraainem, Tervuren, Wezembeek-Oppem and Zaventem certain infrastructural work was carried out in the spring of 2015. In November 2015, the planting work was completed. The result was that the orchard that in earlier days belonged to the Kasteel van de Burbure has been restored. Information on the work carried out can be found on the various info boards placed in the context of the new walking route network.

In March 2016, the Vlaamse Landmaatschappij (VLM) and the municipality of Zaventem presented information on the plans for the redevelopment of the Zeen Park. Around 80 local residents came to Sterrebeek to view the plans and the same evening they were informed on how the participation moments would be translated in this technical design. The permit has been granted as well as building permission so that the work can begin in 2017. Work on the Eenenboom has been completed. Now that the footpath from the Tiendeschuurveld in Zaventem is ready it is possible to reach and make use of the picnic area.
